Darylene Dennon is CEO & President of Solid Energy, Inc. light remodeling and Painting general contractor located in the Seattle area. Darylene was the first woman President for the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) Washington State Council and President of the National PDCA in 2010-2012. She was the first woman President for the Construction Industry Training Council, a state certified open shop apprenticeship institute in Washington. Is also a Washington State Certified Real Estate Instructor. Darylene was awarded the prestigious NAHB PWB Woman of the Year award in 2015, is the co-founder of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish’s PWB Council, and is a NAHB and BIAW State Life Director and NAHB PWB Chair. Darylene promotes professionalism in her trade and in the construction industry in general. She is a presenter, author and speaker on topics concerning the building industry, leadership, business development and sales. I was the Past Chair for our BIAW Workforce Development Committee, on the Advisory Board for Edmonds College for Construction Management/Codes Programs.
