A demo at the 2017 HPBZWhat It's About:

HRVs (Heat Recovery Ventilators) and ERVs (Energy Recovery Ventilators) are the lungs for your house.  They don’t just bring in fresh air and expel stale air; they use a heat exchanger to warm (or cool) the incoming air so that you’re not wasting precious energy in the process. In this demo, see the proper installation of an HRV and how it is ducted both to the outside and to the inside.

What You’ll See and Learn:

Attendees examine the frame built at the 2017 HPBZ

  • The difference between and pros and cons of HRVs and ERVs
  • How these units are installed and ducted
  • Best options for different climates and budgets
  • Picking the best controls for your system
