Teri has brought life to some of the most valuable and recognized communities and brands in resort and residential development. For 11 years she was the CMO for Newland and the architect of the Newland brand in more than 40 communities in 14 states, where she led new community planning and start-up, collaborating with regional teams on 11 new communities in 4 years. Teri was inducted into the William S. Marvin Hall of Fame for Design Excellence in 2015 for Outstanding Contribution to Residential Design. BUILDER Magazine named her #2 on the list of the Most Influential Women in Homebuilding. Today she works with some of the most innovative community developers, homebuilders, and entrepreneurs to create places people connect with and brand experiences that matter. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Teri spearheaded the America at Home Study, the only longitudinal early, peak and post-pandemic consumer study of changes in consumer behavior which may have lasting impacts on home and community design, and inspired two concept homes. Teri is Co-chair of the Global Wellness Institute’s Wellness Communities & Real Estate Initiative. Her work has been featured in USA Today, Washington Post, Forbes, CNN Business, Fox Business. She has written over 30 feature articles in industry publications. Teri has a Masters (Honors) in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University, and a B.A. in Communications and Sociology from Simon Fraser University.
