Mark Konter, a Savannah, GA resident, is a principal of The Konter Companies a group of integrated construction and land development companies founded in 1977. Mark has a diverse background with over 20 years of development experience including single family production homebuilding, single family custom homebuilding, multifamily construction and renovation, land development, and commercial construction. As a principal of both Konter Development Company and Konter Homes Inc, Mark has been integral in the development and construction of the company’s multifamily holdings and single family communities. This includes over 900 multifamily apartment homes and over 1,000 single family homes and homesites during Mark’s career. Mark has also been an active volunteer in housing industry with service at the committee and board levels of the Homebuilder’s Association of Greater Savannah, the Homebuilder’s Association of Georgia, and the National Association of Homebuilders. Additionally, Mark has served on the board of the Chatham Housing Coalition and the Housing Savannah Task Force. Mark Konter graduated from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate. He lives in Savannah with his wife and two children and enjoys spending time with his family, rooting for his beloved Georgia Bulldawgs, and actively volunteering to help improve the greater Chatham County community.
