What It's About:
Do you know the average slippage costs for your projects? Do you bill employees at different hourly rates? What’s your markup on materials, labor, subs—are they the same? These are the questions you must have the answers to in order to properly estimate your remodeling jobs. Labor is the biggest variable in profit. Every extra hour of labor comes out of net profit—whether it was spent on work outside the scope of the bid, wasted at the lumber store or chalked up to talkative clients. Other profit drains include poor specs, bad weather project/product experience deficiencies and hidden conditions. In this advanced session, discover ways to accurately estimate your costs so you stop leaving so much profit on the table.
