What It's About:
America's changing demographics impact almost every business in the country, creating opportunity for those willing to act. Those who don’t, fall quickly behind. Exciting new businesses, such as Uber and Airbnb, capitalized on these demographic shifts, and similar conditions exist in housing. But with the overwhelming volume of data and opinions out there, how do builders know where to focus their attention? This session will dig deeper into demographic trends and provide clarity for which generations and influences will have the greatest impact in the future of housing. Our speaker will share the results of thousands of hours of research conducted over the last three years, making demographic trends easier for housing leaders to understand, quantify, and anticipate.
What You'll Learn:
Define the generations by the decade born in order to make easier comparisons and conduct better analysis.
Understand how the Four Big Influencers—government policy, economic conditions, new technologies and societal acceptability—will shape each generation in the future.
Explore the demographic opportunities that will define the next decade: affluent, working women; affluent immigrants; a new breed of retirees; and a surge in young adults.
How to Attend:
Participants must be registered for a full registration package or a 1-day education with expo pass package valid for the day of the session they wish to attend. Seating for Building Knowledge sessions will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
