    What It's About

With builders facing increasing pressure to reduce fossil fuel usage and mandates for electrification, this session examines historically tried-and-true design and construction concepts that utilize energy sources that surround us. Explore real-world examples that illustrate the practices you can implement in your projects and see supporting data on cost, energy performance and homeowner comfort. Starting with design that recognizes natural energy and ventilation and building practices that take advantage of those, you’ll learn an economical pathway to capture natural sources for creating comfortable, efficient and healthy homes, independent of technology.

    • Understand the meaning and importance of ambient energy and natural comfort in homes.
    • Discover the steps to capture natural sources that range from design to cost-effective construction practices.
    • Explore examples to illustrate the design and construction practices that can be implemented.
