For builders to create a competitive differentiator for their business, they should think beyond the exterior design, high price cabinets and floor finishes. In the social media age, builders can and should look at what customers are pinning, sharing and tweeting on sites like Houzz, Pinterest and Instagram to keep a pulse on growing trends and buyer demand. Social media has created false expectations in the marketplace as it relates to cost, speed and expertise needed to execute a design. However, where there is false expectation there is also opportunity for home builders to step in and bridge the gap. Josh will share valuable findings from his extensive research on how to cost-effectively source products for the social media generation.
