Dunwoody College of Technology
Heather is the Program Manager for Construction Management and Civil Surveying at Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis. Heather chairs the Industry Advisory Committee for her programs, and values swift response to industry need; changes made from industry feedback have increased enrollment by 400% and placement to 100%. Heather has implemented creative learning partnerships with the Girl Scouts River Valleys and Rebuilding Together Twin Cities. Prior to moving to academics, Heather worked on large industrial and commercial projects around the U.S., including Barilla Pasta, Carlson Hotels, and Kraft Foods. She worked as a project officer for FEMA after Hurricane Katrina, assessing damaged schools in greater Louisiana. Heather has a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the Humphrey School at the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Heather is actively involved with NAHB student chapters, and the American Council for Construction Education. Outside of work, she is an official with the Minnesota RollerGirls, co-managing their rec league, and manages the league schedule.
