Elton Mayfield is a co-founder of ER Marketing. His 30-year career spans media, production, finance, and marketing roles, and includes companies from ad agencies to casinos to building products. ER Marketing was named the 2016 Agency of the Year by the Construction Marketing Association.
Elton and his business partner Renae Krause produce a B2B marketing blog that focuses on the sales and distribution channel within the Building Materials Industry. The blog entitled, Navigate the Channel, has become one of the top blogs in the industry.
In addition to ER Marketing, Elton served as the VP of Chapter Development on the International Board of Directors for the Business Marketing Association (BMA); the largest business-to-business marketing association in the world. He also served as the president of the Kansas City Chapter of BMA for 4 years.
Elton has been a resource for articles appearing in several industry publications, most recently in ProSales on the topic of email marketing and making the most of social media. He was named to the publication’s list of “Pro Twitter Feeds You Should Follow.”
With more than 125,000 followers on Twitter, Elton has become a leading advocate of the use of social media, mobile technology, and the effective integration as a marketing and sales tool.
Growing up in a family owned construction business; Elton began working as an eight year-old on job sites during summer break. A self-confessed DIY junkie, he’s finished his family’s basement, built his deck, remodeled his kitchen and installed hardwood floors—and that’s just on his current home.
