What It's About:

Marijuana is the most commonly used illicit drug in the United States. The confusion between state and federal laws regarding its legal use is often a hazy issue for both employers and employees. This session will help you understand the ways your workplace can be affected by the widespread use of both medical and recreational marijuana. Explore impacts on the construction industry, learn differences between the state and national laws, and examine OSHA and ADA regulations as applied to medical marijuana. With so many variables to consider, there is no one-size-fits-all solution.

  • Gain comprehensive information on the medical uses of marijuana, and learn how the legalization of both medical and recreational marijuana can impact the construction industry.
  • Learn the differences between state and federal laws, including the responsibilities under OSHA, and which laws take precedence.
