What It's About:

The competition for land and lots is fierce. Even small markets, once a secure place for local builders, are seeing an increase in interest from large, national builders. Competition can’t be avoided—small-volume and custom builders must simply learn to contend and excel in the purchase of land and development of lots if they wish to have a competitive advantage. Topics in this session include: the steps to finding the land, tying up the land, due diligence and feasibility studies, getting the project approved and specific strategies to finance the purchase and development of the land.

What You'll Learn:

  • Learn competitive land strategies for developing your own lots.
  • Examine ways of finding, tying up and evaluating land for lot development.
  • Explore financing structures that use OPM (other people’s money).
  • Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of competing with big builders in lot acquisition.
