Michael Young is a Technical Project Manager in the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's (NREL) Accelerated Deployment and Decision Support Center. Michael's work focuses on accelerating the energy transition by applying NREL's research and analysis to advance real-world solutions to partners' complex energy challenges. This includes project management for energy and sustainability planning/strategy and workforce development initiatives. Additionally, Michael provides years of leadership to the Solar Decathlon Build Challenge as the competition manager.
